A regular nearby check.
Ghost Scanner scans for compatible trackers every 30 seconds. The check repeats in the background while the system is in use, so a new device has a chance to appear on the next pass.
Ghost Scanner / Tracker detection
Ghost Scanner scans for compatible nearby trackers every 30 seconds. It remembers friendly devices and alerts you on your phone when a new tracker is found.
How it works
Tracker detection runs as part of the Ghost Scanner system. You do not start a separate scan each time you drive.
Ghost Scanner scans for compatible trackers every 30 seconds. The check repeats in the background while the system is in use, so a new device has a chance to appear on the next pass.
Mark known trackers as friendly — for example a device you already own. Ghost Scanner remembers them and treats them as recognised, so you are not warned about the same item again and again.
If a tracker is found that is not already marked as friendly, the app alerts you. That is the cue to take a closer look at your vehicle or belongings.
People often use small Bluetooth trackers on cars — including AirTag-style devices — because they are easy to hide and cheap to replace. Ghost Scanner is built to identify these common methods: compatible nearby trackers that advertise themselves in a way the system can read.
The feature is included in the £699 system. There is no extra tracker subscription. Results show in the same phone app you use for emergency vehicle alerts.
Anti-tracker tools are not a complete defence. There are many forms of tracking, from common Bluetooth tags to other hardware that does not present in the same way. Ghost Scanner identifies the common methods used to track vehicles. It does not detect every tracker type, and a quiet scan cannot prove that a car is clear.
A result also does not prove that a device is hidden on your vehicle, or that someone is following you. It may belong to you, a passenger, or someone nearby. Use an alert as a reason to inspect, not as a map, an owner name, or a way to disable the device.
When a new compatible tracker is found, Ghost Scanner alerts you on your phone. Friendly devices stay recognised. You can then decide whether the finding needs a closer look around the car, a bag, or the area you are in.
Your phone is the display for the Ghost Scanner unit. The same interface moves with you between vehicles. For a particular setup, contact us before ordering.
